As for the spices, although some doctors do not recommend adding them until your baby is 8 months old, you are absolutely right - babies in other countries are exposed to them much earlier! The worries seem to be more about digestive problems (upset stomach or diarrhea) than anything else. Ultimately, it's up to you, your doctor and of course your baby's personal preference to decide! I agree with the sugar, honey and corn syrup being a big no no, but if you ask a Dr or look online they do recommend starting spices earlier than before, after all the kids in other countries are exposed to them a lot earlier and are fine.
